I Don't Know
how I manage to incubate my thoughts sometimes.

I get a week off work this week! Not because I'm trying to skive, but because the equipments aren't available so there's nothing to be done anyway.

I dived over a barely healed open wound, opening it further.
Training on Wednesday was "Back - to - School" themed. We all came dressed in our JC jerseys and we were reeeaaallly colourful that day. It made training look bright and happy but the fitness/drills totally killed whatever was left.
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO MEAN THAT I'M ALREADY READY FOR EXAMS BUT HELL NO.
We came up with ingenious plans to prank teammate(s), and our coach,
I hate Sunday Nights. :( Hate the pre-Monday Blues, hate the feeling of coming back to school for yet another 5 days of torture, hate the academic information, hate school.
"The iliotibial tract or iliotibial band (or Maissiat's band) is a longitudinal fibrous reinforcement of the Fascia lata. It is attached to the midpoint of the external lip of the Iliac crest and to the lateral condyle of the tibia.
ITBS is one of the leading causes of lateral knee pain in runners. The iliotibial tract is a superficial thickening of tissue on the outside of the thigh, extending from the outside of the pelvis, over the hip and knee, and inserting just below the knee. The band is crucial to stabilizing the knee during running, moving from behind the femur to the front while walking. The continual rubbing of the band over the lateral femoral epicondyle, combined with the repeated flexion and extension of the knee during running may cause the area to become inflamed.
ITBS symptoms range from a stinging sensation just above the knee joint (on the outside of the knee or along the entire length of the iliotibial band) to swelling or thickening of the tissue at the point where the band moves over the femur. The pain may not occur immediately during activity, but may intensify over time, especially as the foot strikes the ground. Pain might persist after activity. Pain may also be present below the knee, where the ITB actually attaches to the tibia."
Well, I had to write a summary of the trip for Wan.toks,
OMG MY THUMB/PALM IS FUCKING GROSS.
Sunburnt, Hurting left leg (after getting knee-ed),
Peanut slab from aussie from jean when she came back :D
Kiddo's swiss.otel mooncake which she left in the fridge when she came over to hall but I wasn't in, hahahah.
Chee.kychocolate
12 pieces of guilt (:
New boots and, new laces!
PS: What I've been trying to prevent the whole week; injuring of the other ankle, actually happened during the warm up of S.unig. How mother unlucky. I think the tiong is of extreme bad luck to me, everytime she shifts back something bad will happen.
But anyhoo, I'm stubborn. Tried jogging it off, got it taped and cold sprayed before every game, sucked it up and played. Now it's as swollen as my left ankle (grrrrrrr) and it hurts reeaaal bad. =(
PPS: But whatever the pain, it was worth it. We kept our title; S.UNIG CHAMPIONS YO!
zero conceded touch downs as targeted. Sudden death or not, a win is a win. (:
The Pact:
For three days,
G not to be bitchy,
P not to swear.
The tempt: Subway cookie for the winner.

Weeekends; hate how they come and go so quickly each time.
Caught Wall e on Friday. Absolutely loveeee it. (: Really awesome how, with that little speech, emotions and thoughts were put across. A really really heartwarming film (:
Longjohn breakf then W.tl on Saturday under the sun (finallyyy)! Played an extremely tiring match with yoU.w.c and drew 2-2. Disappointing =(
Thought both teams were really foul, screaming at each other and the refs. I remember limping out and telling a ref off in her face, then hobbling to Greg for ice. Extremely bad attitude, plus we're gonna be team mates. =S
Physio thereafter, where I learnt my still-swollen-after-two-weeks ankle is going to take a month or two for recovery, and isn't a sprain, but something like a misfit joint. =(
Good news is, training may resume but need to tape tape tape. Which reminds me, need to get more strappal! =(
Oh, and while waiting for my parents at Macs, for the first time in my 20 years,
I met and greeted the 4 characters of M.acD.onalds! Ronald, the Hamburglar, the Birdie, and the Purple-thingy. Pretty cool. Didn't manage to catch a shot of them though =( I was too caught up with my ice cream cone. Heh.
Sunday; too sick to get out of bed (almost) the whole day. Had to skip N.t.L training early in the morning. Eternally guilty (since it starts this Friday) but don't quite have a chance cos I'm probably not in the condition to train either.
Hence, wasted the day in bed, zero work completed over the weekends.
Phil is counting down to recess weeek.
And the words he said, keep resounding in my head;
"Hang in there, my strong baby."

Karma for eating XLB on Tuesday with the roomie,
is a XLB for my left ankle currently.
Looks bad, feels bad, sure is bad.
So fucked up. =( SIGH
Please say it'd only take a week to recover.
