It's about the sacrifices, and accomodation & compromising.

"Let's play a game. You'll tell me what's on your mind. And I'll tell you what's on mine."
"Okay, everything?"
"Yes, everything. Promise?"
"Okay. Promise."

With reference to Thursday's entry, Juls & Nick came over too, to chill/dinner.

You know, there's a limit to everything. A limit to patience, a limit to greed, a limit to self interest. Right now, everything seems like a battle for survival. Not among the fittest, or the smartest. But amongst the most self centered, most individualistic body. Right now, it seems like everyone only cares for themselves, and what/how they can benefit from whatever they are doing. People no longer put the care of others before them. We seem to now, live in a world where notes sharing is a taboo, sharing tips is a curse, helping your friend keep notes is deemed as abnormal, and studying in groups together is a competition. Why are you so individualistic? Can't you spare a thought for the others? Truly, all you ever care is for yourself. And there is a limit to this, and tolerance.

The only thing I was looking forward to the entire week got called off after ten minutes maybe? After 1 try scored against us and 2 against them. After hell alot of drop balls from me. After damm alot of wasted opportunity to try. Sigh.

(One more thing, I managed to meet Eunice Yong Shu-yi. My yandao darling(: And it was unplanned. How lovely dear. I hope to see you every Friday that I'm in NY poly!)

I had creamycheesy prawn&fish roe pasta accompanied by a HUGE cup of mango&banana smoothie (just for 2$) Check out its size relative to a salt shaker! (That's seetoh in the bg btw)

Sentosa's CIP has got to be one of the best CIPs I've ever done. It was so meaningful, to be part of the Aquathlon. And the organisers, definitely didn't neglect the welfare of the volunteers! Unlike a particular organisation which a few of us helped out earlier this year.

We got cool shirts by New Balance with the word "CREW" behind, got offered ice cold h2o & mineral water (which aren't really meant for us anyway), received the concern of a very caring In charge, and lunch was great(:

Though it was non-stop standing under the scorching hot blazing sun throughout the entire -insert # here- hours, it was definitely fun. And I swear, watching those kids finish their swim+run, I felt so proud for their parents(: And it really made me wanna grow up quick and have a kid like this too(:

I got a little burnt, despite the SUNBLOCK I applied, which gets really frustrating cos everyone else isn't, even those who didn't apply sunblock, while I did and I'm still burnt. In the evening, I was taken away to a fairytale like story. With Nanny Mcphee (courtesy of Nat(: ) HAHA

Btw, ZOE DEAREST(: I'm sorry I said 16. Heh. If you realised, I sent that message at 6+ in the morning when I was probably half asleep and realised I missed the twelve am hour to wish you a happy birthday. Love you grandots!

Sundays are supposed to be SUNNY(: That's why they're called SUNdays. But this morning, I woke up to a storm, some rain, and a clogged up air. No, I don't mean the weather. I meant my head, my nose and the throat. So, I'm sick again. Just when Napfa's round the corner and I really want to drop pe so badly so I can end 4 hours earlier on Tuesdays and 3 hours earlier on Thursdays.

But I still dragged myself out of the house for tuition and independently rejected my parents' kind offer to send me there. But during tuition, all I did was stone/ space out/ nod my head even when I didn't understand/ copy Sherelynn's tutorial solutions to make it seem like I understood. Oh yes, and I ate lots of sweets too.

Called Ah gong to meet me for dinner(: Since I haven't quite spoken to him for quite some time. And yes, we managed to catch up quite a bit today(: Nick came along too. And we waited for Mal for rreeeaaallllyyy long. ):

After dinner, ah gong & I decided we'd head back to his homesweethome to do work together, but he was tempted for some ice cream (and honestly, I wanted some B&J's loooong ago before dinner) but 7-11 weren't selling them! So we went down United Square cos we were lazy to walk from City hall to Suntec City.

Then ah gong decided we can call Jav along, since he stays so near United Square. And he did. And we waited for him for ddaaaaammmmnnnn long too, considering how near he stays to the place. And the three of us got the mix&match ice cream on a waffle plate(: Ah gong's cookie dough, Jav's strawberry cheesecake and my Phishfood(: ++++ some Hot Fudge.
"You're gonna grow sooooo fat, man!"

"Nothing or noone will change anything between us."
"
Thanks. (': Absolutely nothing, yeah?"

Thanks for meeting me, Ah gong. (:

A friend says, she wants to end this friendship. Then, you get all upset over it.
But just a few weeks later, your handphone vibrates and you see a familiar number flashing on. (You already deleted her number but you just can't seem to forget it)
Shocked, you don't know how to react to it, especially infront of the people around you.
You excuse yourself, then go to a corner and pick up that call.

"How are you?", she asks on the other line.
"I'm fine", you say, reluctant for the conversation to carry on.
Then, after exchanging a few sentences, you hang up.

Have you ever thought, what is it that you truly want?
First, you get so upset things turn out this way.
Next, she calls, yet you refuse to talk to her.
Then, you keep silent and act like nothing happened.
; sigh.
