14th may,
this faithful day,
one year ago,
hence today,
NO MORE P PLATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My legs are extremely tired lately. Apart from training, they are barely resting (shopping in Town, walking here and there, plus I went to the zoo yesterday! HEH :D )
The left knee is aching again. I hope it's just wear and tear and it'd just past.
PS: Gdine congrats on being a driver!!! :D
PPS: The boys lost the Finals on Monday. 21-8 to Acs.i =(
PPPS: Caught What happens in Vegas last night. Not bad! Go watch it!
Just got thrown the (in my opinion) most crucial decision of the holiday:
To play or not to play.
Exposure baby. But fear? =\
Supper was awesome. With us, 3 young girls, in a big blue Mercedes,
spent 24 dollars mainly on bread: Peanut butter TT, Durian TT and Pizza TT + Damn-gross-don't-ever-order-it-anymore mango prawn roll + damn-yummu-mango-pudding.
Fats shiate, we ate til we grew tired. Not sure if the fatigue came from the accumulation of the day's activities or from the lack of oxygen in the brain resulting from overeating.
And got a happy phonecall from overseas on the way back(:
And I highlighted my hair this morning.
I trulymadlydeeply wanted it blue but he wanted to cheat my money so I didn't get blue.
=(
I'm so unhappy with everything about my hair now I have bitterly resigned to the coming of my bad hair months.
Yesterday, we had class bbq at our favourite Pasir Ris Park.
Moo let me drive his car all the way there from Yck!
Yay, Moo, you rock! It has been ages since I took the wheel. =(
No pictures were taken during the bbq cos I guess we were all too busy eating/cooking/talking to bother. At least I was.
But it was nice to see half the class again, though I already saw some on Christmas.
(Oh no! I lack a Christmas post!)
Junx is coming back tonight, yay! I miss that pig.
My life was fine until you walked right back in.
Please leave again,
and close the door behind you.
Darren (previous Best Overall Camper) and Malcolm
Justin and Amos (He said "I'm also from Up and On!" when I wore my sa shirt)
(Another) Darren and Amos. Check out the holding hands! Super cute!
Learning to fold an origami flower
The origami flower (which the boys debated is a boomberang) and Darren
Xuanlin. She's super smart, and really pretty but this photo's unflattering cos "I don't know how to smile!"
Shai says he'd grow up to be a Casanova. He's my Mr. Handsome this camp!
Yeah, look what my kids do to me.
Our class Best Camper
Class photo!I remember telling someone once,
that I'm so sick of talking about my near accident driving experience, the next time I talk about it, it won't be so simple.
I've never cried so effortlessly, and silently before.
It's like a spoilt leaking tap.
My heart still sinks at the thought of it,
my knee still aches.
I can't even bear to look at the pictures.
PS: I HATE FRIENDSTER. EVERYBODY SHOULD JUST JOIN FACEBOOK.
TOUCHED BY SAINTS.
Went back for Learning Fest today, but only played 3v2 thanks to my beautifully scarred knee (that just bled awhile ago)
Had TEAM lunch at Lucky Plaza, Ayam Penyet : Flattened Chicken.
Deserves TWO thumbs up.
Shopped with Y after that, told her I was "very determined to get something today!"
But in the end I got (too many) somethingsssss.
Had dinner, and a rather emo night... =(
I hate emo nights.
But anyhow, on the way home just now,
I NEARLY HAD ANOTHER ACCIDENT.
Damn it, my sis screamed so loud the glass could have shattered.
But I swear, it really wasn't my fault. HE DIDN'T SIGNAL.
Bastards.

Last Sunday: Okay, we didn't really take many group shots. For the first time, we were very unenthusiastic in photo taking.
So a typical SIXTH gathering:
* Food, losta food.
* People, usually quite a bit. (There was 17, or was it 16? + 1 Fifther)
* Noise, too much, too loud.
* Standing around. Always happens. (Actually as long as it's a big group, this is inevitable)
* Splitting up. Also always happens.
* Fun. PLENTY!
It was nice to see everyone, again. Well, almost all at least (:
Thanks for the present anyway, Kid. As promised (or rather, challenged!), I'll only open it on Wednesday!
Sunday, sunday was crazy.
I picked Y up, and we left for East Coast Park. Sweet huh.
Feed the mosquitoes, enjoy the breeze, catch the Sunrise.
It was crazy. Bumped into lotsa familiar people: "peipei" from DVC (Khoon Wee, la), Y saw Alan Sim, peeped under the cap of someone wearing the blue PL prefects shirt: VAL!, etc, etc.
Made friends with Janis' best friends- FOOD (from second class spring rolls and swiss rolls to first class curry puffs and fruit tarts and eclairs)
Then left East Coast with 7 of us (including myself) all squashed up in the car.
Awesome yeah, every traffic light we stop at invites stares and frowns from pedastrians, and I vividly remember asking everyone to WAVEEEE.
And definitely getting lost. We went round in circles from the targeted Eunos mrt, changing our destination to Kembangan, then Paya Lebar, and in the end, circling the National Stadium as if we were on a Historical Roadtrip, "And on your right, you can see the National Stadium that is about to be torn down....", went high on stupid jokes, screamed knowing that we didn't know where we were going, heard Isaac share his "shaking cars" story and Janis' clueless questions, and a random (early) Happy Birthday sung out loud while I was busy figuring where to turn next......
Well, we ended up in Kallang anyhow, with numb thighs from the weight of friends, exasperated (HAHA) driver, relieved passengers, and burnt out tyres (kidding, kidding).
(Oh, just remembered after replying Yanns' tag, I always thought I had no Street Directory to refer.. only til we were already lost and already figured our way and was heading back to Y's place did SHE (not me man) realise there was a street directory in the car ALL ALONG. Omg, slaps face. But nvm, this ends my going-round-and-round-aimlessly days.)
Dinnered at Sticky Rice (All-time favourite, thanks!) for a pre-birthday dinner with family, coincidentally a junior was working there. We coffee bean-ed too, and it felt more like a Meet-the-Fockers Lims session than a Birthday dinner.
And then, WIMBLEDON! I fell asleep while they were playing the fifth (aka final aka most intense!!!!) set, but I knew Nadal was gonna lose anyway. Federer deserves to win. ACE KING.
Camp facil training 1 today. Fun, fun, enriching. Learnt lotsa new stuff. But slightly irritated at the fact that there was a comm breakdown, so now I won't be spending my birthday at JBAC (ulu cck) belaying and flying fox-ing, but I'll probably have to miss day 5 of fac camp.
And I actually forgot where I live!
GY: "Where do you stay?"
P: "Serangoon."
GY: "Oh, me too! Which part?"
P: "Ave 3, near Macs."
GY: "Me too!"
P: "What's your block!"
GY: "240."
P: "OH MY GAWD. THAT'S MY BLOCK" (and everyone else in the room gasps)
Okay, coincidental yeah. But guess what. My block's 241. How dumb.
ANDDD, I'm back to being pressured to go for SUfourteen. Die. It's the same old feeling, I WANT; But can I take it?
Btw, don't you think Live Earth wasn't as impressive?

My blog seriously sounds so sad,
This is pretty much what my world looks like now:
Crazy, Colourful, Blurry, Ambiguous.
Seriously, so much for long overdued proper posts,
I've pretty much given up on those. The memories still stay vivid,
like a fresh strawberry (Sorry, I'm hungry)
but the words run dry like the dehydrating pitcher plant (Haha, DVC)
Okay, fine. Not very beginner's, but STILL.
So is that your expression now, Ah gong!
This is the worst ah gong anyone can ask for,
he laughs at his grand daughter's tragic plight!
Ahgong: Didn't know you were so pro (gov). Donate more la, go park in the middle of the expressway.
Me: WAH sorry that's suicide alr. ahahaha oh, but my ah gong paying for me is it?
Ahgong: Erm no? You think my name is sky ar? Money doesn't fall from me.
***

twentynine minutes too late, love.
ten bucks poorer too.
This is actually my teacher, who lives just a few blocks away from me.
Shai: say hi, see if i can hear from here
i heard it!
i heard it!
i heard it!
(but I didn't even say anything. Not like he'd hear even if I did! Hah)
Me: hahaha! okok HI SHAI
can you see me waving? haha
S: see cannot, my view blocked by the blocks esp blk 323
but i can hear you gigling... sound travels far rite?
but you sound so clear
that means, we are near
that rhymes eh?
OMG, Shai.

Tonight was probably the BEST night I've had with ages. (Not like I'm already enjoying myself bigass time!)
Nothing beats spending time with my favourite girl,
taking passport photo against purple walls/white cupboards,
going in circles around our estates and ending up where we started,
spending 29238$$ topping up petrol, wasting 50km worth of it leaving home to return there,
flipping through street directories and finding our own way, (YEAH MAN!)
making wrong turns/missing exits til we have to U-turn 34839 times,
unintended road trip round Singapore,
dinner at East Coast at 9pm when we actually planned to reach at 7+,
cheesecake cafe,
parking,
"OMG BE CAREFUL"-s and "WOOHHHHH, that was damn near"-s,
and being honked at. HAHAHAHA.
If time permit, we'd have gone East coast park to walk, but but BUT I have camp tomorrow and I had come back to pass her my uni form. Oh, troubles.
It was unplanned, but coincidentally, we (minus Amelia) spent our first month of being P-platers and road hazards together! COOOL!
(sorry, abit incoherent now cos damn tired la)
I know my weeks to come are gonna be AWESOME,
though my income is going to be -$2/hour.
But who cares. I better enjoy all I can.
I'm already, starting to get caught up with Uni. =(
And I honestly, don't like the smell of it.
HELLO FEIIERS, I know you read this-
Thanks for tonight! LOVE YOU LONG TIME!
And Amelia, who probably won't read this. Hate you long time lor. Wahlao. =(
Okay, so much for rejoicing over the end of work,
I'm back in this week. But this time really the last week of work cos next week (23rd may!) is the fair already! I don't get to go to Thailand! =(
So anyway, back to Friday.
This is what happened during (my last) driving lesson:
A private student, on test, was doing vertical parking.
He wasn't positioned correctly, so you can tell he's gonna hit something,
and my (sadistic) instructor, starting chanting "knock the pole, knock the pole"
and instigated me into joining him! (of course I didn't)
The poor boy hit the pole though. (In fact, he hit it twice, and my instructor couldn't stop chanting)
And yeah I hit mine at Parallel thereafter.
&
After an hour + of buttaching journey,
reached Vivo and we walked the entire place deciding for a "different" place to eat.
BUT we settled at Asian Kitchen which is not any special at all.
Quote Zi, "We're always either eating Chinese or ..." (I can't remember what's after or...)
And we spent the rest of the night by the sea! Yay!
And we intend to go "overseas" slowly, but surely.
First, Sentosa (chalet!)
Then Pulau Ubin,
see, we're getting there, getting there!
Eventually, we'd go somewhere out of SEA!
-
Had Materials' Hi tea with Amelia & Zi and we met the weirdest ass professor. He asked us how we make our Uni choices, and evaluated what we said, and said our answers were WRONG.
We said, Interest, and Job prospectives.
Then he sent us to ask around (which we of course didn't)
and he came back to us later.
Everybody say, OHMYGAWD.
You know, I don't really have a habit of carrying my camera around with me.
And my phone can't seem to connect to my lap
and yes, my lappie is old. I had it since Sec School so it doesn't have bluetooth.
So I'm effectively new photo-less though there are many!
But then again. somtimes I wish we took more.
I passed by Malan today,
and everything looked different.
But over that short 15 seconds (maybe?),
memories of what happened where
zooooooooooomed past together with the bus.
The Orientation days in the Hall,
the dreadful steep walk up to LT 3,
the trainings at the field that went so late into the night that we couldn't even see our fingers, what more the ball,
the cafe and its oh-so-wonderful view,
the gallery with words, S-A-I-N-T-S stuck across and paintings that are now white washed,
.
.
.
.
and, I got reminded:
To the person in the picture (if you even see this),
where did you go?
---
On a completely misjointed note:
- I freaking knocked a pole down at Parallel today. I believe in Karma and my instructor is tmd sadistic.
- I survived a 1hr bus journey with wind (+DUST) in my hair/face from Eunos to Harbourfront. Applaud me please.
- I WANT to be 50$ poorer on Monday. WANT.
I seriously don't mind paying 50$ for a piece of paper that has lifetime warranty.
LIFETIME LEH, worth it okay. Though it's just a piece of paper.
- Amelia is convinced I've become a spokesperson for Materials.
(Materials SCIENCE and Engineering, not Materials Engineering, okay!)
-I liked my Friday Night. (:
Haven't really had the time to organise my thoughts,
thus the lack of updates.
Been updating a draft entry though! Haha.
Everyone's life is undergoing a major change right now,
as letters of acceptance and rejection reach them.
I'm excited yet scared!
Can't wait for the 18th! (:
This week has and is gonna be tiring. =(
Note to self: Safety check, safety check!
I actually hit kerbs today! WTFS!
