It's Over!

Officially PANG GANG from ihg 09/10!

Track was awesome today, despite finishing in a disappointing 8th position for 4*1 relay.
Our hope for the day became false in a matter of minutes. Disappointing! :(
But we also jumped up three positions to finish 2nd in 4*4. Way above our expectations but that was some awesome shit. =)

Here comes another week of the same-old-stuff.

You're The Direction I follow To Get Home

1)WORK
IA this week's been goodie goodie. (:
Finally starting on experiments: sample prep, gold deposition (unfortunately, I don't have access to the Au otherwise I could steal some and we could all be rich!), lspr measurements, bilayer formation and next week, more molecular testing, more layer by layer depositions and even SEM training!

Okayyyy, I know I sound like a complete nerd now. But I really like it!
I've been working OT the past two days and yes, I've been complaining (though I don't quite deserve to cos I have DAMN slack days too). Just unlucky the OT falls on days I have a tight after-work schedule (non-leisure related)

Lunch breaks have also been awesome with my aN-yoU-aSs pallies, with fellow course mates and the lonely Hub, with my dearest OG mate ongjunx(: , getting used to the way around campus and eating out of school.

Despite the reallyreallyreeeaaalllly low pay, I'm pretty glad I was granted my first choice company. When I'm bored or waiting for results, I can just head over to the Computer Room and I'll always find someone there, or head down to L3 library and disturb Ah Chu. =)
Today, Junx came over while taking a break from his Fyp report and I was showing him the experiment. Also taught him how to use O.rigin to smooth curves (which he still doesn't know how to do after 1 year in Im.re) and he is impressed by me! :D Yay. I also hit my head against a cabinet which has never happened in the past few days but it had to happen when he was around.

J: "Don't worry, I won't tell G you knock your head."
Me: "If you tell her, I'm gonna ask her to 'boxbox' you!!!!"

=)
I win. Heh

2) IVPee
Only 1 game this week instead of the supposed two. Tuesday was our second game against SPee. Anyway, just as I thought I was doing fine, I got sat out TWICE in one game. Apparently I "needed to get out for a while before more possession lost or losing you (me) altogether". In other words, I was being destructive then self destructive/destructed.
We won anyway, 6-2.
Thanks Sugar Fairy for running down from N.us to watch the game! =)

We also caught IVPee Bball girls semis on Tuesday after our game. It was an extremely exciting nerve-wrecking one between us and aN-yoU-aS. From trailing by a-few-points, we caught up to a draw, then to a lead, then gave away free throws and the match ended with a draw. (The coaches of the opposition were so fierce, they even threatened the officials)
So it was extra time of 5 mins where we had a good lead initially until opposition caught up and the aN-Tee-yoU team had to work extra hard to take the lead again.
Eventually we won by two points and it was an awesome, awesome feeling. Plus seeing our fellow (ex) teammie playing so well, leading her team and scoring- we were so proud of her =)

So yesterday was the finals, which we rushed down after training. We were already trailing by a bit, but the bball girls kept trying to catch up. Each time they narrowed the gap, an unexpected (but freaking accurate) 3 point shot will come from the aI-Tee-E girls.
There was a period of time the aN-Tee-yoU team was ON FIRE but it wasn't enough. :(
We lost in the end, by 4 points ( I think?) Cyn still played awesome but it was really sad to see her cry :( She didn't cry when we lost S.UniG and she told us to be strong. So it was really saddd =((

3) FOOD
Been eating way too much fast food, Macs after watching bball on Tues (twister friezzz!), BurgerKing on Thurs and Macs again todayyyyy! :\ Had bubble t on Wed too, and a major frogurt craving due to the insane sun. The BenJerry's at Vivo's closed for renovation too. :(

4) MISC
Work ended early on Monday so I went to fix the oh-so-terrible hair of mine (I snipped my own hair and it was hideous).
Caught Blindside on Wed with liangshit my Curly Hair Friend after lunch with Ahgong and Yanns in campus. =) The show's really really good. =) We both enjoyed it. Shopped for Ahgong's farewell gift before heading down to his place for the (not-so-)surprise farewell party. (:

what will I do without you, Ah gong.

Have a safe flight to London.

Goodbye 3005!

Life is.......

hectic these days. I barely get to pause and think about stuff.

Last week, I spent the first half of every day interacting with kids almost a decade younger than me. From tag rubgy, to bowling, rock climbing, vulgarities, flying punches to the face, playing truant ; I have seen almost everything.
Ek and I laugh it off after each day, and we feel really old. Almost 10 years older, yet among them we feel their age. It's like, we've never really grown out of our teenage years..

Rock climbing was super fun though! I climbed til I ached so bad after that. I couldn't write cos my arms were trembling (slightly) so yes, hats off to Ms. KWANJIELING. You're my ouxiang! (: Haha

Over the weekends, I also had two consecutive nights of Steamboat for dinner which was shiok beyond words since the weather was c-c-c-old. (:
After steamboat on Sat with Arthur & Mal, we caught Sister'sKeeper which was really quite sad..... We all expected to cry but the two boys didn't. I didn't cry as much as I thought I would too.

And FRIDAY! Friday was an impromptu supper with Mamadao and nuer dearest! We headed down to C.heesecake cafe then to upperchangi road for some awesome bcm meesua. We talked about life and reminisced about the past (as usual). We also talked about our future, and how the flavour of the cheesecake we ordered reflected our lives............

Wasted my entire weekend on Touch too. :( We had two games on Saturday. One was good, one was way way way below standard. But we were truly worn out by the end of the day. Then Sunday again at Turf for a Day Nat Training Camp. :\ Headed down with fishy. (:

So yes, no work completed over the weekend, thus leaving me with
  • Presentation slides
  • Presentation Rehearsal
  • Sound quiz
  • 3007 quiz
  • 3002 assignment
  • 3007 webcast from Friday
  • Tutorials
left undone. It's midweek today and I'm glad half of the above is over. (:
Presentation today was all right; it wasn't awesome. But Q&A was terrible. We couldn't answer a question and were sent back to "do your readings". SIGH.

Sounds was harder than expected: "List 3 journals"
Even the frantic flipping of my notes whenever possible didn't help. The answers aren't even there. -_-

For now, I can finally take a deep breath before I start again.

Need to prepare for another hectic week(end) ahead juggling Touch, Arthur's farewell, and studies.
3 tests next week.
And exams in two weeks.

I. Am. So. Dead.

PS: My neighbours found a baby terrapin outside their room last night!

Life This Week

  • Video review on Monday followed by Team dinner at HV. All 14 of us were also officially "dropped from the IVPee team" as of then.
  • Lotsa studying involved for the big 40% test that just happened today
  • Skipped school on Tuesday (except Tutorial) and made the Baby come over to accompany me study. (I had to entice her with Snow Ice)
  • The annual iyg capt's ball on Tues night: too many teams pulled out, so we won (again) but it wasn't as fun :(
  • Decided to give training on Wednesday (since there was much to cover AND it thunderstormed before that) a miss but went down to settle log anyway.
  • HallIdol took place just downstairs so I couldn't study in the room (!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
  • I know I've lotsa things to do but I need a break from the intensive 3001 studying (because I was semi last minute. Sobs)
  • Was super hungry and craving for Icecream but thanks S for the yummiest pigsorgan soup every (though I don't eat pigs organ)
  • Currently on repeat: Give by Dishwalla. (:

Wonder, _ _ _ .

Tonight was spent planning for FOC, followed by a carbo-loaded dinner at Broadway (Puri! (: ) with the Bestest Bud in Hall, my Favourite (exex) Hall Queen and Favourite An.ouka senior,

then a trip down to Jpee to grocery shop with the Bestest Bud.

Plus, my starbucks fix(: Headed back to watch Hockey finals, and history repeat.
Penalty flicks are cursed, and my heart bleeds for you.
I am still sorry there is nothing else I can do, but I am here for you. :( :( :(

On the way back to 1301, I found myself stopping by 1305, where 3 of us become 4, then 6 and lightened up a broken soul. (:
The (ex)roomie, who is still deeply loved, popped by after and it was 1am after I showered.

Late, and 830am class tomorrow. Long night following that.

Competitive + Competitive = Super competitive!

So last night, we had intraschool capts ball. Kinda stupid on one hand how we spent hours waiting to play. Zzzz. But anyhow we had a good time. Think the final match was the most exciting one too. =) Had to handle alot of The Sp's shit but ok la, it was funny.

And as quoted by him in a really joking manner: "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing!"

We got a really huge hamper which made The Sp damn happy, we were so amused with his satisfaction with little things. Then we crashed a hall's event, supported our fellow team mate and presented her with the hamper. HAHAHA Classic.
Was so flustered rushing from room to room, making T bring a spoon around hall that we didn't have dinner. Walked out to eat but I was so tired I was sleepwalking. =(

Still sorry I missed your performance, but I hope the honey water helped. :]

PS: Lab is an online experiment today so no school on thursday! :D
PPS: I need to watch 4 online lectures. Dieeeeeeeeeeeee.
PPPS: Too much of odd shaped balls = cannot catch round balls properly. :(

I'm Blind, But I Can See.

We lost.
1-0, three minutes before the end of the game.
Somehow this felt like a battle not of our competence,
but a battle of spirit.

"Where's Hall13's supporters?"
I remember his question, so vividly.
I remember turning around to stare.

Battle #1 lost; the lack of supporters.

As I stood among the fellow Sports Secs witnessing the match,
it was Me against 23803 other supporters.
For all that I screamed my heart out, they had it easy with much bigger lung capacity.

Battle #2 lost; no presence.

I guess as much as we wanted to win, we saw this defeat coming.
We were not undeserving, we were just lacking in something called, "Team Spirit".
Something I know should never be left out from a Sports Player's Menu.

I'm upset we lost, cos we wanted it so bad.
Not just because of the medal, the Gold, the glory or the points.
But because it meant so much more.

Mom forgot to return my call today. Hmm, proves my importance.

Sweetest SIN.

And I had a Starbucks Caramel Frap (in its largest form) delivered to me today.

I am so loved.
My friends spoil me. =s

Ps: The volleyball guys gave me a heart attack again today. We lost after a gruelling battle.
The final set was played up to 27 points, my heart was palpitating and my palms were sweating.
We lost, but good fight guys!

171207; Feels prettymuch like a dejavu considering I've already seen myself digitally editted without braces before. The process of removing is so so much more painful than fixing it on. Scaling hurt the most and I bled like mad. Feels kinda weird yet good at the same time now, and I somewhat miss braceys already. Oh wells, I guess I've finally bid my braceys a bittersweet goodbye after some good 25months.

Allrights, back to reality and my sucky life (wait, what life?) as an assistantsportssec in thirteen,
and stressful trainings in touch.

If any consolation, Angie is backkkk!! (:

(And everyone is abandoning me for their year end trip. Even Sis is in Arizona now ))):
Ps: Roomie I'm dying without you)

Two words to describe Phil : "Qiao Cui"

We lost today.
But we did our best. Alex, (I know you won't see this but) I'm really proud of you.

Gotta wake up in 4hours, omg.

Never Enough

Day 1 of Ihg: Appeal Case 1

Day 2 of Ihg: Phil's breakdown

Day 3 of Ihg: 3 consecutive meetings, the last one starting at 230am stretching til 6am.

Day 4 of Ihg (today): Damned good weather in the morning, now looks like it's gonna rain. Fuck it. Hockey must go on.
Thirteen to chair JH meeting. (Lucks Shaochun!)

Ps: So glad there isn't training today. But can't wait for tomorrow's. I miss Gina and Constance!

Game Plan.

First day of IHG,
and an appeal in already.
Never mind that it's at JH level, since we'd have meetings every night anyways,
but now it's going up to HO.

Here's to more sleepless nights and cheers to declining performances at touch.

I shall stick my game plan on the wall when I find blue tack.

Now It's Too Hard To Leave

I'm super tired of reading my (never ending) emails, I have decided to ignore and ditch them all for Sc to read (my "love you many many" doesn't work on him anymore, boo!)

Life is accelerating at top speed,
and it's been awesomely eventful since Genting.
But everytime I hit this space, it's when I'm too tired to keep myself writing.
So, shall save it for another time (which I really wonder when it will be)

Angie left for Japan today. Gonna miss her! Goodbye Angie aka Queen of the Toilet aka Auntie!

IHG starts tmr, LET'S GO THIRTEEN!

Competing in sports has taught me that if I'm not willing to give 120 percent, somebody else will.-Ron Blomberg American Baseball Player‏

If you think you are beaten, you are.
If you think you dare not, you don’t.
If you’d like to win, but you think you can’t, it is almost certain you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’ve lost.
For out in the world you’ll find ‘success’ begins with a fellow’s will.
It ‘s all in the state of mind.
Life’s battles don’t always go to the stronger or faster person,
but soon or later the one who wins is the person who thinks she can.
***

I'm slowly fitting myself back into position but I still feel slightly misplaced and very disorientated.

Genting was fun, but I'm sure it could have been helluva better should certain stuff not happen. For example, not being able to pass of as a twenty one year old. Damn, damn, damn. For once I was so desperate to look old.
But we had fun nonetheless. Proper entry on that to come, cos I think it truly deserves a sole entry.

All passed too fast, leaving was truly a short escapade from my harsh reality,
and coming back was painful. I was pushed back into my accelerated life I barely had the time to feel surreal about being back.

Signed in to 88 emails, that was the scariest yet.
Before I even get to soak up my Serangoon air, I was already on my way back to school.
This time, it felt soo surreal.

It has been raining the entire day, I braved myself through the rain together with endless meetings and soaking wet trainings. Good job, phil, you deserve two pats on your back.
I returned close to 2am, maybe even past two, I'm not sure.
Surviving three meetings (Ho, JH, 13 & 5), a training in the rain where the I/Cs were more concerned about the field than our safety.

I feel like I've never been any much more anti social than I can be in Joint Hall. My attitude truly sucks. I guess I never really bothered knowing everyone nor allowing everyone to know me and each meeting just gets longer and longer, I end up floating in my another world.

Currently, I am alternating my screen between Ro's email about important dates to note and the everchanging IHG schedule and I trulymadlydeeply am lost. My 10th-14th Dec, though is only 5 days, is packed enough to suck my energy dry, I don't know how to survive.

And right now, I'm still up fretting over the bloody timetable.
I'm so effing confused, and brain dead.

Oh no, this entry is really disjointed.
I am seriously having difficulties stringing my random thoughts together.

And Elisa is sleeping already. URGH.
Never mind, if any consolation, I shall be waking up to Krispy Kremes tomorrow.

Ps: Have I told you how frustrating it is that you still affect me?

"Don't throw your BROKENstocks at me!"

Thank God for holding the rain,
today was awesome.

A follow-up to my past week at camp,

The 2 boys in their similar jerseys, again:

And the "kid" that I will definitely miss the most:
You probably won't see this, but I love you Liyana! =D

This boy, is best camper:And the sweetest thing I've heard all week at camp was,
His Daddy shouting across the "concert hall", "WELL DONE, SHAUN!!" many times.
I sensed his pride, it made me feel proud too. (:

"And The Prancin' Ponies Prance Their Way To Victory"

*(mini)Picturepost! -The Prancin' Ponies,
full story soon! And yes, laugh all you want at the name.
Sadly, I don't have any team photo!

-Extremely yummy biscuits with chocolate centers all the way from Hokkaido

-Fun Touch.
Classic shot man. (Please ignore fugly hair) And see that little boy there in red? He's gonna be a hearthrob one day. (: Or maybe he already is. Awwww.

I should really learn to make use of my camera more.

Goodnight for now! Tomorrow and the next two weeks are gonna be busy and busier but hopefully not busiest.

spa = stupid people assessment.

I think SPAs are meant to make a fool out of people.
During Chem Spa, I :
# broke a damn pipette (ask me how it happened, gosh)
# spilled alot of solutions!!! (esp when MsLee was standing infront of me)
# was supposed to pour the solution, time then stopper, but i realised i didn't fully transfer all the solution, and when i stoppered it, it popped out again ALL INFRONT OF THE EXAMINER.

It all spells stupidity, and clumsiness. And btw, I handed in a script with torn edges. AHHHHHHHHHHH

*

Got all stressed out over the Physics Spa the same night and ended up falling asleep on my bed. So deep in sleep, I couldn't even wake up to TWO calls. WLE.
But Phy Spa went okay, I guess. With the amount of help given, it should.

Ended school superduper early, since no Chinks, so I joined Yarn and Yi Qin at the library. And left school with Nu Er, for Serangoon stadium, to watch the heats! IT WAS SO HOT! But worth it, cos they did well. (: Trackers, proud of you! Chew house-rs, err, do better next time round!
So glad to see everyone btw. Mings especially(:

(I'm turning deaf with all the drilling/knocking going on right next to me)
